Adam Setkowicz, who lived in the years 1876 - 1945, was a popular painter whose leading theme in his paintings are genre scenes with carts, hunting, sleighs and snow.

Paintings usually painted in watercolor or oil, in which the author referred to the works of A. Wierusz-Kowalski, J. Brandt and J. Fałat.

In the years 1891-1894, the artist was educated at the Krakow School of Fine Arts, where in 1897/1898 he continued his studies under the direction of Teodor Axentowicz.
